Our colleagues at Xbox-Mag have just published a superb interview with Phil Wilson, producer of genialissime Crackdown published recently. Translated by them, this interview is an opportunity to learn more about a possible result, potential changes that might appear in the title. Come on, it stops you in suspense, here is the interview in question. Thank you again to Xbox-Mag..

With Dave Jones acting as creative director, it was very important to inform people about its rich heritage in the gaming industry. He had to understand that Crackdown is not a GTA-like classic. While the game offers the same type of environment, but the universe is different, as are goals. It’s a totally different experience that is proposed.

There are, however today with us another category of games that take place in an open city, and it was soon noticed that the players appreciate the freshness that comes Crackdown on that level.

It was an interesting offer. We had to make something attractive to the beta of Halo 3 and honestly, I’m delighted that it will be done with our game, of course, more copies of Crackdown will sell and I hope most players will buy Crackdown for Crackdown. In all cases, people who buy the game for the beta as Bungie will always have the opportunity to try a great game so I have peace of mind.
